We would like to inform you about the data that is collected by visiting this website and how the gathered personal data is used. 3. Automatic collection of personal data by visiting the website
During the sole informational usage of the website we only save personal data that is transmitted by your browser to our server and that are technically necessary to display you the website and ensure its safety and stability. The following data is collected:
– date and time of the request
– content of the request (the concrete web page)
– access status/HTTP status code
– transmitted data amount
– web address issuing a request
– browser type
– operating system and its desktop interface
– language and version of the browser software
This information is also saved in the log files of our operating system. A storage together with other personal data of the user does not happen. Legal basis for the temporary storage of data is Section 6, Paragraph 1, Item f DS-GMO.
4. Contact through the Website
Upon your contact with us by Email the data provided by you (Email address, name, topic and your phone number) will be saved to process your request. The data gathered in this respect is deleted as soon as it is not required anymore. We process this data first wrt. Section 6, Paragraph 1, Item b, DS-GMO. Please note, that the privacy of the contained data is not guaranteed when information is transferred by an unencrypted Email. We recommend to send us confidential data only by post. Your data will be safed only until your request is processed and is deleted immediately afterwards. Your data will be handled private and confidential. It will not be shared with third parties.
This website does not use permanent cookies. Cookies are text files, which are saved via your web browser on your computer system. When visiting individual pages so-called temporary cookies may be used to ease the navigation. These session cookies do not contain any personal data and are invalid immediately after leaving the session/web site.
6. Recording of additional Data
Any further data recording by using this website does not happen.
7. Data collection for Conference Registration
In order to register you for the conference you are required to enter your name, e-mail-address, affiliation and contact details into our registration system. Your data will be stored in a database server hosted by BTU’s own data center. The personal data you enter during the conference registration process is electronically stored and facilitated solely for purposes of conference registration, payment and billing and will be deleted or disabled in accordance with the legal provisions for record retention.

As the person concerned, you have the following rights under the Basic Data Protection Ordinance (DS-GMO), insofar as their respective legal requirements are met:
Information: You have the right to obtain information about the data we process about you.
Correction: You may request the correction of inaccurate personal data. You can also request that incomplete data be completed.
Deletion: You can request the deletion of your personal data.
Restriction of processing: In certain cases, you may request that we restrict the processing of your data.
Data transferability: If you have provided us with data on the basis of a contract or consent, you may request that you receive the data you have provided in a structured, current and machine-readable format or that we transmit it to another person responsible.
